We ate the best sushi ever in Queenstown, spent hours on our balcony, reading, relaxing and taking in the view. We stayed at the Heritage, and initially we were concerned because it was 'out of town'. It was a delightful 20 minute walk from the center of town, mostly along the beautiful lake with views of the Remarkables. Not exactly a hardship. And the lovely concierge gave us free bus passes, so if we were too
We didn't sky dive, bungee jump, paraglide, jetboat or anything else crazy and extreme. We were going to get tattoos, but when we went to the least sketchy place, we found it closed. At 6pm. But you know? We had some really great food, enjoyed our lovely room (and the balcony I insisted on!) and drank in the loveliness around us that was more extreme than any jump off a bridge or out of a plane could ever have been.
The view from our room. I am not shitting you.
Walk into town.
